Doesn’t every child in LA deserve access to a college education? Achieve LA aims to provide just that. As a unique partnership between the California State University Los Angeles and The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles, Achieve LA gives local children a pathway toward higher education and careers beyond. The program leverages the LA Y’s Cradle-to-Career Success Initiative that targets the LA Y branches that service communities facing the greatest academic and community needs:
- Crenshaw Family YMCA,
- Southeast-Rio Vista YMCA
- Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA
- Weingart YMCA Wellness & Aquatic Center
Achieve LA’s vision is to enhance educational equity and upward mobility in our most underserved and under-resourced communities by offering a pathway to graduation and a career for all children in Los Angeles. Our goal is to increase college enrollment and graduation to support education, career and life success. We also offer a menu of core and customized programming for PK-12th grade students and their families year-round.
