Child Activity Center Guidelines
Our Child Activity Centers require that parents remain in the building while their child is in the Y's care. Parents must be accessible and responsible in case of an emergency (e.g., diapering).
All CACs have set time limits for care: 120 minutes (2 hours) daily. If a parent takes a group exercise class in the morning and then returns for another class in the evening, the child’s total time spent at a CAC may not exceed 120 minutes (2 hours).
CAC at branches where space is limited may be set up for mixed-age groups. Programs are separated by age to meet the needs of all age groups and allow for age-appropriate activities and interactions.
A brief well-check will be done for each child as they arrive to ensure they are free of cold/flu-like symptoms.
Age requirements vary by branch. CAC hours and reservations are available through the LA Y App.
