The 50th Annual MLK Brotherhood Celebration is in the books and we at the LA Y hope each of you were amongst the 3,000+ viewers who zoomed in this past Friday, January 15 at 9am.
The Y normally gets about 800 guests for a sit down breakfast so doing the event “virtually” dramatically increased the audience. It would have been an easy decision to cancel the event this year given all the complexities of producing such an awards ceremony “virtually” but thanks to the the senior staff team of leaders, we made possible happen!
With the LA Dodgers winning the World Series, this being the Y’s 50th MLK event and this incredible overlap of people and organizations – Sharon Robinson, UCLA, LA Dodgers, Dan Guerrero , Dave Roberts, Stan Kasten, Stedman Graham and more – this event is an amazing example of community building at its best!
If you weren't able to attend, you can watch it here!
