Make the Most of Your Student's After School Time

From academic support to enrichment experiences, our programs make the most of your student’s after school time. Our caring and energetic team provides dynamic programming to LAUSD district students with your student’s well-being in mind.

From cradle to community well-being, YMCA Beyond the Bell after-school programs fuse social-emotional learning, physical activities, creativity, and educational support--inspiring growth and learning beyond the classroom.

Our After School programs take place at your school and offers a safe place for students to take what they’ve learned in the classroom and have fun with it!

Thanks to targeted funded from LAUSD, this program is offered FREE of charge.

Elementary and Middle School Programs:

• Available after school hours until 6:00 pm.
• Recommended for grades 2nd & up, TK & up are also welcome!
• 1:10 child-to-staff ratios for TK/K and 1:20 child-to-staff ratios for 1st grade and up.
• Activities include homework support, supper, enrichment activities, sports, games, and more.
• To register or for more information, have your student pick up a YMCA Beyond the Bell application from the school’s main office or email us at afterschool@ymcaLA.org.

High School Programs:

• Available after school hours until 6:30 pm.
• Activities include weekly enrichment clubs like guitar, drumming, animation, coding, flag football, rugby, photography, drug prevention, driver’s ed, and more.
• Teens are welcome to join as many after school clubs as they wish.
• Other programs include IBM SkillsBuild, Global Change Agents, Advocacy Days, Together In Service, Teen Resiliency Workshops, Battle of the Bands, LA Kings Ball Hockey, and more incredible signature programs.
• To register or for more information, have your student pick up an application from the school’s main office, sign and return it to school.  You can also email our Beyond the Bell High School Program Director, Kayla, at KaylaCabrera@ymcala.org.
