Here for LA since 1882

The Y has been here in LA for 143 years, and we have more resolve than ever to serve our communities and rebuild with them. Our deep roots allowed us to mobilize quickly to support tens of thousands of thousands of families and individuals affected by the wildfires with several critical initiatives:

• Free emergency childcare for first responders and displaced families 
• Direct support services at evacuation centers and hotels housing evacuated residents 
• Case management services connecting affected families with critical resources 
• Extended facility hours and expanded programming across our network 
• AmeriCorps volunteers stationed at every operational Y center providing direct support
