With the current situation and increased gasoline prices, the Y would like to remind you that the Los Angeles Metro Service provides a program called LIFE--Low-Income Fare is Easy, a program that offers reduced cost of transit for low-income riders. The program offers fare discounts that can be applied towards the purchase of either weekly or monthly transit passes on Metro, life participating transit agencies, or 20 rides on any of participating transit agencies.
How do I apply?
You can apply for the LIFE program online or submit your LIFE application by mail, email or at any drop off locations.
How do I get a 90 day pass?
In order to get a 90 day pass you must be new to the program. If you are new you will get a 90-day pass valid for base fare. Once your free pass expires you will be able to get a LIFE discount to the tap card.
