LA Y Mobile App
Stay connected to your Y no matter where you go with our mobile app. The LA Y app allows you to reserve group exercise classes, courts, swim lanes and other equipment, schedule personal training sessions and you can even take virtual classes with your favorite instructors, on your schedule, when you can’t make it to class in person.
Getting Started
Download the app from either App Store or Google Play.
Once you open the app, you’ll need to login using your email address. Please use the email address associated with your LA Y account.
After you submit your email, you’ll be sent a verification PIN that you will enter when you set up your password. Please note that you must have an active LA Y membership to use our app.

This is the home screen.
The menu at the footer contains four options:
“Home” takes you back to the home screen
“Schedules” shows you today’s schedule
“Reservations” shows you your reservations
“Hours” shows you all branch hours
While your membership includes access to all of the LA Y locations, setting your preferred location enables you to focus on the classes at the facility you use most.
Your preferred location is in the top right of the screen. To set your preferred location:
- Press the menu in the top left
- Select the account from the menu in the top right
- Select “Change Preferred Facility”
- Choose your preferred location from the dropdown menu & press save
Reservations can be made to either Book a Class or Reserve a Spot.
- Book a Class is for all group exercise classes and personal training
- Reserve a Spot is for all facility, court, equipment and swim lane reservations. Reservations can be made one (1) hour + seven (7) days in advance.
On your mobile device, select "Make A Reservation" from the main menu drop down.
Make sure your preferred location is selected or choose all locations
- Select Book a Class
- Select the date you’d like to attend
- Choose your class and press reserve
You can reserve a spot in any of our group exercise classes up to seven (7) days in advance. Classes that have finished will no longer appear on the app.

- Select the date you’d like to make your reservation
- Choose the equipment you’d like to reserve (swim lane, etc.), the time and press reserve
Please note the following:
- Lap Lane reservations are 30 or 60 minutes
- Racquetball court reservations are 60 minutes
- You can make equipment reservations up to seven (7) days and one (1) hour in advance. Additional same day reservations can be made upon completion of 1st reservation.
Please note, cancellations can be made up to one hour prior to your reservation.
Interested in Personal Training?
- Select “Book a Class”
- Select Personal Training from the top menu
- Select “Schedule” for the Personal Training or Small Group Training that you prefer
- Press request info to fill out a quick survey to match your needs.
A YMCA staff will follow up with you to schedule your first sessions.
Once you purchased your Personal Training program:
- Select your training program (30 or 60 minutes), then select your preferred trainer.
- Choose the day and time and select “Request Booking”. An email confirmation will be sent you and your training confirming your booking.
*In the right corner of this screen you will see how many trainings passes you have available. These will refill monthly as part of your registered personal training program.

All members who signed up for the class will receive an email and a push notification via the app that the class has been canceled.
To Book a Class for group exercise:
- Select schedules from the main menu at the top
- Scroll down to the date and select the date you’d like to take the class
- Choose your preferred location or view all locations
- Find the class you’d like to take
- Select “Reserve”
To Reserve a Spot at the branch or to reserve equipment:
- Select schedules from the main menu at the top
- Select the date you’d like to make the reservation
- Choose your preferred location or view all locations
- Find the equipment you’d like to reserve
- Select the time you’d like to make your reservation
- Select “Reserve”
We understand, things come up and plans change. When making a reservation, if you are unable to attend, it is important to cancel the reservation ahead of time whenever possible. Group Exercise classes require one hour notice and all others require as much notice as possible. This practice will allow another member of our community to fill the spot and participate.
After three missed reservations, access in the app will be suspended 14 days. If you did attend one of the reservations and you were not checked in, please let us know through emailing us directly or asking the front desk and we will work with you to resolve your use of the reservation system once again.
